

David Keith McCutchen of Waco went to be with the Lord Thursday morning, August 29, 2013, at the age of 60. Graveside services and interment will be 10:00 A.M. Tuesday, September 3, 2013, at Flint Creek Cemetery near Gatesville under the direction of Cole Funeral Home, 1113 West Fifth Street, McGregor with Reverend Marvin Donnell officiating Without a formal visitation, viewing will be from 1 to 6 P.M. Sunday at Cole Funeral Home.
David Keith was born August 26, 1953, in Waco, Texas, the son of the late J.B. and Sarah Nell (Brazzil) McCutchen. In 1971, he graduated from Midway High School where he was quarterback for the Midway Panthers and excelled in all sports. He was also a member of the Key Club where he served on various committees. On a football scholarship, David continued his education at Navarro Jr. College. On October 23, 1976, he married the love of his life, Carolyn Jones McCutchen in Waco.
He was in the auto sales throughout Central Texas for more than forty years. A bonafide UT Austin fan, David followed all sports, particularly Longhorn football and the Texas Rangers. He enjoyed fishing for bass and catfish and taking his English Setter, Maggie to the lake. He loved is family more than anything and his pride and joy were his kids.
Survivors include Carolyn McCutchen; a son, Jeffrey David McCutchen and wife Laura of Frisco; a daughter, Jennifer McCutchen of Los Angeles, California; two brothers, Dan R. McCutchen and wife Diane of Monroe, Washington, Don G. McCutchen and wife Debbie of McGregor; a sister, Linda Spivey and husband Bill of Woodway; two adorable grandchildren, Natalie McCutchen and Avery McCutchen, both of Frisco.
