Doris Allison Witt, 89, passed away Wednesday, February 28, 2018 in Temple, Texas. Graveside service will be 10:00 a.m., Saturday, March 3, 2018, McGregor Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Friday, March 2, 2018, Cole Funeral Home in McGregor.
Doris was born November 10, 1928 to Lawrence and Fanny (Watkins) Ulrich in Otto, Texas. She graduated from Mart High School in 1946. Doris was a longtime resident of McGregor and she worked at Wittes Food Market for 6 years. Doris spent most of her life traveling.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Lawrence and Fanny Ulrich; sister, Helen; brother, Howard; and grandson, Erik.
Survivors include her children: son, Stephen Dittsfuth and wife, Karen, of Bryan College Station, son, Gerald Sevick and wife, Kay, of The Woodlands, daughter, Gloria Sevick of Fort Worth, daughter, Gretchen May and husband, David, of McGregor, son, Gregory Neely of Houston, son, Benjamin Witt of Eddy, son, Otis Witt and wife, Deanna, of McGregor; 23 grandchildren; and 33 great-grandchildren.
The family requests that in lieu of flowers donations be made to The Wounded Warrior Project.

My heart is so hurt at the loss of the last aunt I have Aunt Doris Ullrich Witt. You were the most fun to spend time with during summers when we came to spend time with Dad's side of the family. You are going to be missed. Please hug my mom and dad for me also Uncle Jay and aunt Helen for me. I miss you from the bottom of my heart.

I stand here heart broken, knowing that I cannot stop the tears rolling down my face for the heart break of the incredible loss to my family and my self, my beloved Aunt has gone to join my sweet momma Margaret and my superman my hero my poppa, her brother Howard Ullrich AKA " Sugar Man" in heaven. I am blessed to be named for this amazing person in my life, my amazing and beloved Aunt Doris Allison Ullrich Witt. I will see you and hug you in heaven when I get there. Thank you for loving my dad and being his older sister that amazing sister that he and my sweet momma adored and loved. I will miss you for the rest of my life. Thank you for loving me and always being proud of the person I have become. I am honored to share your name, to be named for you.... just another reassurance everyday I live of how much my dad loved both his sisters so very much. My world be sadder knowing that you aren't somewhere around. I miss you Aunt Dossie.......until we meet again, with all the love in my heart .... please hug momma and poppa for me.
