Florence G. Westerfield

Florence G. Westerfield, age 83, left this earth early on Friday, October 17th, 2025, in her home. She was surrounded by her family. She will truly be missed by many, but her love for all will live forever. Funeral service will be 11:00 a.m. Friday, October 24, 2025, at Cole Funeral Home with Rev. Calvin Charles Tull officiating. Interment will follow in McGregor Cemetery. Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. on Friday, October 24, 2025, at the funeral home.

Florence was born on November 27, 1941, to Willie Max and Frances Mae (Roberts) Warnock in Bentonia, Mississippi. Florence worked in several of the surrounding school districts in the dietary department. She truly enjoyed her many years of cooking and serving those meals. Florence was loving, caring person who would help anyone that asked. She didn’t meet many strangers and those that she met loved her. She was the glue and strength that kept her 11 children grounded and knew that they had each other to lean on when in need. Florence was a member of The Order of Eastern Star and a firm believer in her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, Joe Bob Westerfield, daughter, Margaret Ann Westerfield.

Survivors include her 10 children: James Westerfield, Frances Owens, Sandra Cobb, Saundra Harper, Jerry Westerfield, Cynthia Roberts, Belinda Giacin, Frank Westerfield, Willie Gill, and Cristina Westerfield and daughters-in-law, she was blessed with 33 grandchildren, 63 great-grandchildren, and 3 great-great-grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews, sisters-in-law, sister, Ruby Curry, and brother, Jerry Warnock.
