

Born June 2, 1933, to Luther B. Culpepper and Merle Guyton in De Leon, Texas. Frank’s childhood was in De Leon, Texas with 3 sisters & 6 brothers in a loving home of strong faith where education, the arts and kindness to others were highly valued.
One day walking home from school, Frank saw Jody sitting on her porch and told others, I’m going to marry her one day; and that he did! Jody and Frank married just before he joined the Air Force after High School, she was the love of his life. Within some years they had their sweet son, Michael. They were married for over 60 years and lived in McGregor for over 40 years until her passing in 2015. Upon his return from the Air Force, Frank pursued employment at NASA for many years. He later became the mayor of Brookshire, TX for four years, then judged in McLennan County, TX, While the judge, he also taught classes during this time at Texas State Tech College until he retired. He was a member of the College Avenue Baptist Church and was a Mason.
Frank had a love for music and played various string instruments. He and his friends played Blue Grass music at various venues throughout Texas.
His dedication to helping others, his kindness, compassion, and guidance touched countless lives. He was loving, fun, and a man full of stories, love, grace, strength, and entertainment! A devoted husband and father, his family was his pride and joy, and he created a beautiful home filled with unconditional love and support.
Frank is now reunited with Jody, all his siblings, and his parents. He is survived by son Michael Culpepper of McGregor, TX and many nieces, nephews, great nieces & nephews and cherished friends.
A Viewing will be held 1:00-3:00pm just prior to the Celebration of Life, which will be held this Sunday, January 26th at 3:00pm at Cole Funeral Home in the Chapel – 1113 West 5th ST., McGregor, TX 76657. Burial will immediately follow at McGregor Cemetery.
