Andy worked for several companies in Waco, including Pure Milk, Gulf States Paper, and Mercury Tool, where he retired. After retiring, he continued working 60 hours a week as a temporary employee at HUCK (now Howmet), Coca-Cola (now Refresco), and Marathon Battery (now MarathonNorco).
Wherever Andy went, someone knew him. He grew up on a farm with his cow. He moved to Waco and raced cars when he was younger. He served as a volunteer firefighter for the Bellmead Fire Department for 15 years. He loved fixing up old cars and trucks. He always had one or two vehicles he entered in local car shows, and he often won trophies. He was a longtime member of the Heart of Texas Old Car Club. Andy, a loyal Dallas Cowboys fan, was taken to his first Cowboys game at age 89 by his daughter-in-law.
Andy is survived by his sons, Kevin and Richard (wife Michelle).
