Kayla Rene Berryhill

Kayla Rene Berryhill, 18, of Oglesby, passed away in a tragic automobile accident Saturday, October 1, 2011. Funeral services will be 10:00 A.M. Thursday October 6, 2011, at College Avenue Baptist Church, 201 South Monroe Street, McGregor, under the direction of Cole Funeral Home, 1113 West Fifth Street, McGregor with Deacon Victor Beltran officiating. Inturment will follow in McGregor Cemetery. Visitation will be 6-8 P.M. Wednesday, at Cole Funeral Home in McGregor.

Kayla was born December 21, 1992, in Clifton, Texas to Jerry Berryhill and Melissa Shaw Valdez. She attended Oglesby High School. More recently, she was employed by Sonic in McGregor. It can be said that she enjoyed living life to its fullest and jet skiing and swimming with her best friend Amber Valentine. She had a kind word and great love for everyone she met. She will live with us in our memory and hearts for evermore.

She is survived by her mother, Melissa Shaw Valdez and father, Adrian Valdez; father, Jerry Berryhill and mother, Tabitha Berryhill; brothers, Brett Berryhill , Tristan Berryhill and Skylar Hefner; sisters, Danielle Berryhill and Cheyenne Hefner; grandparents, Billy Jack and Deborah Shaw, Roger and Pam Berryhill, Brenda Berryhill, Raul and Lupe Valdez; great grandparents, Agnes Donaldson and Travis Berryhill; fiancée Brandon Thompson , her beloved dog Jacey and a host of relatives and friends that loved her dearly.

She was preceded in death by great grandparents, Edward and Ruby Shaw, Owen Donaldson, Joyce Berryhill, Dorothy Reed and uncle Jeffrey Alan Esau.

Casketbearers will be Russell Bankhead, Scott Bates, Lee Bates, Cody Schu, Dylan Robinson and Tyler Roedler.

Our greatest gift has returned to you God, now she is in your hands. Always loving; always loved.
