Mary Morene Furry, 82, of McGregor, passed away Sunday, December 1, 2019. Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m., Friday, December 6, 2019 at the College Avenue Baptist Church in McGregor, Texas with Dr. Philip Riegel officiating, with internment to follow in Comanche Springs Cemetery. A visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., Thursday, December 5, 2019 at Cole Funeral Home in McGregor, Texas.
Mary was born on September 19, 1937, in Oglesby, Texas to Albert Austin Pollard and Lillie (Gaston) Pollard. She grew up in McGregor, Texas, graduated from McGregor High School and was a member of College Avenue Baptist Church. She married Albert John Furry in 1957 and they raised their family in McGregor. Mary loved animals, taking pictures, music, cooking, dancing, and, most of all, her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.
Preceding Mary in death were her husband, Albert Furry; son, Jerry Furry; parents, Albert and Lillie Pollard; and sister, Lorene Durrence.
Survivors include son, Jimmy McCall and wife, Denise; grandsons, Jason McCall, Jonathan Santry and wife, Janessa; granddaughter, Jill Kuykendall and husband, Kirk; great grandsons, Caleb McCall, Zane Kuykendall; great granddaughter, Ambree Kuykendall; sister, Jeanetta Neuman; numerous nieces; nephews; great nieces; and great nephews.
