

Mrs. Mary Lou Graves, age 81, of McGregor, passed away Wednesday, December 23, 2015 in Waco. Funeral service will be held on Wednesday, December 30, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. at New Zion Missionary Baptist Church with Reverend Larry Davis officiating and interment will follow in McGregor Cemetery. Family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. at Cole Funeral Home in McGregor Tuesday, December 29, 2015.
Mrs. Graves was born November 8, 1934 to Prince, Sr. and Eva Bell Tucker Anderson in McGregor, Texas. At an early age, she was baptized at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church. Mary later moved her membership to New Zion Missionary Baptist Church to join her husband. She was a faithful member of the women’s ministry. Mary graduated from G. W. Carver High School in McGregor and then attended Tyler Beauty College and received her license as a cosmetologist. She operated her own business for many years.
She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, Frank Graves and brother, Walter Anderson.
Mary leaves behind to cherish her memories, son, Johnny Anderson and wife, Janice of Flower Mound, son, Pat Graves and wife, Sylvia of San Angelo, daughter, Yasma Yvette Holland and husband, Dexter of Lancaster, son, Frank Graves, Jr. and wife, Ramona of McGregor, brother, Prince Anderson, Jr. and wife, Margie, brother, Johnny Anderson and wife, Virginia of Dallas, sister. Gloria Morgan and husband, Charles of McGregor; nephew, Chris Morgan and wife, Carole of Cedar Hill; grandchildren, LaTrisha, Eugenia, Rachel, Samantha, Mary, Holly, and Paige; great-grandchild, Aniyah; and one on the way! And host of relatives and friends.
