Mrs. Ola V. Tucker was born on July 20, 1922, in McGregor, Texas to the late Hilary C. Thomas, Sr. and Lue Ella (Anderson) Thomas. She was the 12th of 13 children. She lived most of her 96 years in McGregor. She professed Christianity at an early age. She was educated in the McGregor Public School system.
Upon graduation she worked at the Bluebonnet Ordinance Plant in McGregor during the 1940s. On Nov. 21, 1945 she married H.V. Tucker, Sr. and to this union was born three children, Mary, Vern, and Herman Jr. Mrs. Tucker was preceded in death by her husband and her 12 siblings.
Mrs. Tucker worked as a housewife and in the family business, Tucker’s Service Station and Auto Sales from 1956 to 1986. Mrs. Tucker served and worked with many church activities with her husband as he served as a minister of the Third and Pullen Street Church of Christ in McGregor from 1960 until 1975 and at the Northside Church of Christ in Mart, TX from 1975 to 2004.
Mrs. Tucker was a member of Park Lake Drive Church of Christ in Waco. She loved God and her family. She enjoyed family gatherings, home decorating, counseling and encouraging people, and was involved in activities with the East McGregor Community Center.

She leaves to cherish her memory: her children Mary Fisher of Pflugerville, Texas, Vern Cotton of McGregor, Texas and Herman V. (Debra) Tucker, Jr. of McGregor, Texas; sister-in-law Dorothy Brown of Waco, Texas; ten grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; four great-great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and church family members.
