

Oma Alene Jackson, of Waco, Texas passed away peacefully on January 8, 2025, at Greenview Nursing and Rehab in Waco. Graveside services will be at 2:00 pm Friday, January 31st at McGregor Cemetery with Pastor Charlie Brown officiating.
She was born on August 2, 1938 in Coryell County, to Matthew Jefferson Moore and Oma Alene (Cole) Moore. She attended school in McGregor and Midway and graduated in 1956. Oma embraced life with a love for its simple joys. She had a passion for exploring garage sales and thrift stores, always delighting in the discovery of hidden treasures. In her younger years she enjoyed dancing and possessed a unique talent for working on watches a skill that showcased her patience and meticulous nature.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Edwin Lee Jackson, her son Richard (Riki) Matthew Turner; her sister Billie Ruth Hinton; and her brothers, Kenneth Ray Moore and Curt is Lynn Moore.
Oma is survived by several nieces, nephews many cousins, and friends who will hold her memory close to their hearts.
The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to Greenview Nursing and Rehab and Bluebonnet Hospice for the compassionate care provided during Oma's final days. May her memory bring comfort to all who knew her.
