Rosa Maria Medina Villarreal, 94, passed away Saturday, May 19, 2018 surrounded by her family.

Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, May 23, at Our Lady of San Juan Catholic Church in Moody with Father Boniface Onjefu officiating. Burial will follow in Eddy Cemetery in Eddy. Family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. with rosary at 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, May 22, Cole Funeral Home.

Rosita was born August 30, 1923 to Juan and Jovita (Alvarado) Medina in Durango Mexico. She was a longtime resident of Eddy. Rosita was a homemaker. She enjoyed sewing, cooking, gardening, and most of all, spending time with her family.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Ascencion Villarreal; son, Manuel Villarreal; sisters, Vicenta Medina, Sabina Medina, and Maria Medina Gutierrez; brothers, Roberto Medina and Martin Medina; grandchildren: Victor Villarreal, Adriana Hernandez, Sandra Hernandez, and Jessica Villarreal.

Rosita leaves behind to cherish her memories, daughters, Maria Ines Cervantes and husband, Marcelino of Eddy, Rita Hernandez and husband, Cesareo of Moody, Juany Victorino and husband, Jorge of Eddy; sons, Macario Villarreal and wife, Regina of California, Jose Miguel Villarreal and wife, Maria Elena of Dallas, and Jose Guadalupe Villarreal and wife, Maria Socorro of Eddy; 26 grandchildren, 38 great-grandchildren, and 6 great-great-grandchildren; sister, Modesta Medina of San Antonio, and Eulogia Ortiz of Chicago; numerous nieces and nephews.

Eddy (Moody), Texas. 23 de Mayo del año 2018.
Aproximadamente 9 meses después de una reunión en Moody Tx. Precisamente por el cumpleaños núm. 94 de nuestra tía, la Sra. Rosa María Medina de Villarreal. Nos congregamos nuevamente….
Recordaremos los que pudimos estar presentes; 2 días inolvidables en una estancia por demás acogedora; Quien nos iba a decir que en poco tiempo nos volveríamos a reunir, solo que ahora porque Dios Nuestro Señor nos citó para notificarnos que necesitaba con urgencia a la tía Rosa María. Ya que nos la había prestado por mucho tiempo, que la necesitaba más que nosotros; y la tenía que reunir con sus seres que se le habían adelantado.
Ahora, la tía Rosita nos deja un mensaje:
La Oración es la llave de la Unidad familiar, Sean fieles y unidos en la Oración por la familia
Oren por Ella, como los pudo observar en su lecho de muerte, y sigan cuidando de su familia.
Gracias por su presencia. Y deseando un buen retorno a sus residencias.
