Stanley Everett

Stanley Everett of Oglesby died Tuesday morning, November 1, 2011, at the age of 57. Graveside services and interment will be 10:00 A.M. Saturday, November 5, 2011, at Post Oak Cemetery under the direction of Cole Funeral Home, 1113 West Fifth Street, McGregor. Visitation will be 6 to 8 P.M. Friday, at Cole Funeral Home

Stanley was born December 2, 1953, in Gatesville, Texas, the son of James and Leola Ione (Webb) Jr. In 1972 he graduated from Oglesby High School where he participated in football, basketball and FFA. On May 7, 1976, he married Betty Jorene Lynn in Moody, Texas. Stanley spent his life farming and ranching in the Oglesby area. He was a member of the Sons of The American Legion and First United Methodist Church of Oglesby. He enjoyed vegetable gardening, hunting and supporting the University of Texas Longhorns.

Preceding him in death was his father and best friend, James Everett, Jr. with whom he spent many happy years pursuing their love of farming.

Survivors include his wife Betty Everett of Oglesby, his mother, Leola Everett of Oglesby; a son James Scott Everett of Hewitt and a daughter, Kylie L. Everett of Sulphur Springs.
