Thomas N. Guerra, Jr.

Thomas was a devoted husband, father, and friend to all. He was deeply proud of and dedicated to his career in the Greyhound business, where he raised and trained Greyhounds with steady commitment and care. Thomas met his wife as teenagers, and they shared more than 54 years of marriage—building a life grounded in enduring love, loyalty, and devotion to their children and grandchildren.

Thomas is survived by his wife, Kitty M. Guerra; his daughter, Patricia (Richard Jr.) Alvarez; his son, Thomas N. Guerra III; and his grandchildren, Jessica Marie Guerra, Paula Ziona Alvarez, Maya Alexandria Alvarez, Richard Anthony(Jasaida) Alvarez, and Luna Star Alvarez. He is also survived by 4 great-granddaughters and 3 great-grandsons, all of whom he loved very much.

He is also survived by his sisters, whom he loved very much: Rachel Garcia, Ninfa Camargo, and Mary Diaz. He had many nieces, nephews, and cousins who were dear to his heart.

Thomas was preceded in death by his father, Thomas R. Guerra; his mother, Celia Noyola Guerra; and his brother, Manuel N. Guerra.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 10:00 am on October 8, 2026, at Cole Funeral Home, 1113 West 5th Street, McGregor, Texas 76657 with Pastor Juan Carreon officiating. Interment will take place on October 8, 2026, at Rosemound Cemetery, 3201 S. 12th Street, Waco, Texas 76706.

Pallbearers will be Richard Anthony Alvarez, Lucian Evander Gonzales, Richard Alvarez Jr., Bruce Lee Diaz, Noah Lee Diaz, Elijah Curtis, and Shawn Fehlman.
