Willie B. Leos
January 7, 1953 – January 22, 2021
Willie B. Leos, 68 of Oglesby, Texas, passed away Friday, January 22, 2021, in Waco. There will be a visitation from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Wednesday, January 27, at Cole Funeral Home in McGregor, Texas. Graveside services will be at 11:00 a.m. at Post Oak Cemetery Oglesby TX. Facial mask and social distancing are required at all services.
Willie was born January 7, 1953 in Oglesby, the son of Cayetano and Rebecca (Blanco) Leos. He was a 1971 Graduate of Oglesby High School. Willie retired from Oncor after 35 years of service. Willie enjoyed rattlesnake hunting each year for Oglesby’s Annual Rattlesnake Show. When he retired, he was able to enjoy the land that he loved on the Leos Ranch. You would catch him driving his tractor to feed the cows, on his Polaris riding around checking on the cows with Carla and Sadie, or he would be fishing for catfish at his tank. Willie also loved his shop/aka Diamondback’s for his family and friends to gather especially for his fish fries. He loved his family and friends dearly.
Willie was preceded in death by his parents and brothers, Gennaro, Sammy, and Joe Leos.
Survivors include wife, Carla Leos of Oglesby; children, Melissa Wells and husband, Ray, of Oglesby, Michael Leos and wife, Lianne, of Manchester Connecticut, Brian Bartels and wife, Johanna, of Ft. Worth, Lance Bartels and wife, Brooke, of Mosheim Texas, Justin and Gus Mercante-Bartels of Wilmington, Delaware; grandchildren, Kyle Wells, Alex Leos, Alyssa Boughton, Briley Bartels; great grandchildren, Amilya Harrison, Edward Wells, Paisley Wells; brothers, Paul Leos and wife, Sylvia, Fernando Leos and wife, Janet, CB Leos and wife, Rhonda, Manuel Leos and wife, Clydene, Tommy Leos and wife, Cindy; sister Janie Walker and husband, Steve; many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
Honorary pallbearers will be John David Leos, Greg Leos, Dewayne Felan, CL Leos, Chris Shipp, Johnny Gomez, Jr. and Cliff Insall.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Oglesby ISD or the Oglesby Fire Department.

I had the pleasure of knowing Mr. Leos because of his support of the Hispanic Chamber. He was generous with his time and his company’s sponsorship of scholarships. His friendliness always made me feel good whether we were in person or on the telephone. I am sorry for the Family’s loss.

Super sweet guy that always lend an ear to listen. He was always generous. He had a laugh that always made you feel good. Seems like I've known him my whole life through working with him at TPL, TXU then Oncor. Willie fought the good fight and finished the race. He will be truly missed.

I worked with Willie in the Waco Oncor office. He was a very dedicated and hard worker and was a friend to all. A great employee and friend who always had a smile. He will be missed by all that knew him. My condolences to the family.
