

ANNIE CORKER HOLLINS, 84, of Mechanicsville, died June 24, 2016. She was the widow of James W. Hollins Jr.; and is survived by her two daughters, Brenda Gray (Wayne) and Kim Wilson (Dennis); and her son, Bobby Hollins (Joan); her grandchildren, Jonathan Gray (Jennifer), Erin Heineck (Jason), Heidi Hollins, Caleb Wilson, Gray Hollins (Holly), Megan Pembroke (Alex) and Evan Hollins (Patricia). She is also survived by her great-grandchildren, Anthony Urban, JoJo and Joshua Gray, Brody and Emory Heineck, Ivy Hollins and Anna Pembroke; her brother, James Corker; and her sister, Gloria Johnson. She was preceded in death by her sisters, Edith Kahrs and Evelyn Savedge. She was a member of Northside Baptist Church, Phoebe Sunday School class and New Direction Widows and Widowers group. She was a longtime employee of Hanover County Schools from which she retired. She fed endless students at Battlefield, Cold Harbor and Lee Davis High Schools. Her family will receive friends at the Atlee Chapel of the Woody Funeral Home, 9271 Shady Grove Rd. Mechanicsville, Wednesday, June 29 from 12:30 to 2:30 p.m., where funeral service will be held at 2:30 p.m. Interment Signal Hill Memorial Park.
