Barbara Ann Hamilton

Barbara was preceded in death by her father, Claude Bevins; her mother, Zelma Bevins; her sisters, Cledith Childress and Helen Hamilton; and her brother, Wesley Bevins.

She is survived by her brothers, Butch Bevins (Patty), Junior Bevins (Martha), Kyle Bevins, and Paul Bevins; her sisters, Sue Thurston (Floyd) and Violet Hinkle (Al); her daughter, Sherrie Hamilton (Joe); her son, Robert Hamilton (Candace); her granddaughters, Allison Hamilton and Alexandra Hamilton; her grandson, Hunter Hamilton; and her great-grandson, Nolan Welsh.

Barbara worked as a manager for Goodwill Industries for many years. She loved spending time with family and friends, cherished her dogs, and enjoyed tending to her flowers and plants. She was also known for her great sense of humor.

The family will receive friends from 5 pm to 8 pm on Monday, February 23, 2026, at Woody Funeral Home - Atlee Chapel, 9271 Shady Grove Rd., Mechanicsville, VA 23116. A graveside service will begin at 12 pm on Tuesday, February 24, 2026 at Greenwood Memorial Gardens, 12609 Patterson Ave, Richmond, VA 23238.
