Bonnie Jean Miller

Bonnie was born in Charleston, West Virginia, in 1939 to George and Anna Walker, and married Robert Lee Miller in 1956. Together, they had four children who grew up with a knowledge of God, the joy of song and music, and the surety of their parents’ love for one another. The family moved to Virginia in 1973.

Along with her love of singing, Bonnie enjoyed the beauty of the mountains and valleys, especially of her home state, and the majesty of the ocean as she loved visiting the beach.

Bonnie loved spending time with her family and friends near and far. She was a proud mother and grandmother and had a special love for her great grandchildren. One of her greatest joys was spending time and sharing adventures with her sister. Her furry companions were also very special to her, and she shared that joy with many others as a breeder of poodles for many years.

Left to cherish her memory are her children: Robert Miller (Tony), Carol Sayre, Randy Miller, and Cheri Tays; her grandchildren: Amanda Nevetral (Brian), Thomas Tays, Ryan Tays, Adam Sayre, Angel Blain (Cameron), Brandon Miller, Joel Tays, Cole Tays, and Collin Miller; great grandchildren: Chrissy, Kalee, Buddy, Clara, Mason, Jaxson, Paul, and Sam; her sister Linda Hardway, and many beloved nieces, nephews and cousins. She is predeceased by her parents, her husband Robert Lee Miller, her son-in-law John Sayre, brother Carl Walker, sister-in-law Joyce Walker, brother Kenneth Walker, and sister-in-law Connie Walker.

The family will receive visitors from 5-7PM on Wednesday, March 5, 2025, at Woody’s Funeral Home, Atlee chapel. Funeral services will take place at 1PM on Thursday, March 6, 2025, at Woody’s Funeral Home with a graveside service and burial to follow at Signal Hill Memorial Park, 12360 Hanover Courthouse Rd., Hanover, VA 23069.
