“Kathleen”, as her family knew her, was born on January 14, 1945 in Belfast, Ireland. She was the fifth of seven children. In 1965, she married the love of her life, Thomas Conlon and that same day, emigrated to the United States.
Catherine was preceded in death by her parents, John and Mary Cox; her brothers, Robert, Jim and John Cox; and her sister, Marie McCaughan. She is survived by her husband of 57 years, Tom Conlon; two daughters, Laura Wagner and husband Mike, and Amy Livingstone and husband Jeff; sister, Elizabeth Johnston and husband Calvin; and brother, Paul Cox and wife Pat; as well as extended family in Ireland. She was a loving “nana” of six grandchildren, Emma, Michaela and Claire Wagner, and Ava, Brendan and Cooper Livingstone. She loved her family selflessly and limitlessly and her love, independence, and strength lives on in all of us.
The family will receive friends from 4 to 7 p.m., Monday evening, September 19, 2022, at Woody Funeral Home. On Tuesday morning at 11a.m., September 20, 2022, a Mass of Resurrection will be held at the Church of the Redeemer, followed by a reception after the liturgy.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made on her behalf to the Alzheimer's Association® at alz.org.
