Christie Lou Stanton

She was preceded in death by her loving parents, Dr. Lawrence E. Meyer and Elaine Girard-Meyer.

Christie is survived by her devoted children, Brent Stanton and Cory Mata; grandchildren, Ela Stanton, Asher Stanton, Ciena Mata, Chase Mata, and Callum Young; and siblings, Wendy Zimmer and Lori Bukaweski. Her family was the center of her world, and she treasured every moment spent with them.

Christie lived a full and joyful life, grounded in love and service. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Education from Peru State College in Peru, Nebraska, graduating in 1989, and went on to serve as both a teacher and later as a retail manager.

A devoted wife and homemaker, Christie lovingly cared for her family, standing beside them with grace and strength through every chapter of life. She was the heart of her family, providing stability, warmth, and laughter. She enjoyed yoga, volleyball, and card games, and she delighted in time spent at amusement parks with her grandchildren, whether splashing in the pool or braving roller coasters.
