

Cliff was born in Canwood, Sask. Canada in 1933 to the late REV and Mrs. C. L. Dalseide. He attended a one room schoolhouse until his father, a Lutheran minister, received a call to Ambrose, ND in 1941. His father retired to Canton, SD in 1946. Cliff graduated from Canton high school in 1951, joined the Navy in 1952 and served aboard the USS Jefferson County, LST 845 until 1956. After his discharge, he moved to Washington D. C. to attend Capital Radio Engineering Institute. Currently Capital College located in in the state of Maryland. He went to work for Melpar, which became a part of Raytheon, for 37 years, retiring in 1993.
He and Mary retired to Fredericksburg where he enjoyed a multitude of activities available in the Fredericksburg area such as photo clubs, Elder Study and was president of the FPCUG {Fredericksburg PC Users Group) for 2 years.
He was preceded in death by his wife Mary.
He is survived by three sons, Clifford Jr. Lars, and Nathan McArthur and 2 grandchildren, Clifford Dalseide III and Rebecca Dalseide. Two stepdaughters, Lynda Ellinwood and Cathy Aswegan. Numerous nieces and nephews. Cliff was also preceded in death by 5 brothers and 2 sisters from the Midwest.
