Darrell Craig Coleman

Darrell was born on November 27th, 1959, in Alma, Michigan. He wed his devoted and loving wife of 44 years, Teresa Jeane Patteson, on August 28th, 1982.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Norman Jay Coleman and Evelyn Kean Coleman.

He is survived by his wife, Teresa; his children, Kristen Bray (Jamont), Lauren Loving (Matt) and Jeremy Coleman; his five grandsons, Zion, Leo, Finnley, Sawyer and Bodhi; his two brothers, Michael Coleman (Mari) and Dennis Coleman (Debbie); and numerous nieces and nephews.

He grew up farming with his family in Merrill, Michigan, which gave him a love for the outdoors. He loved being a grandpa and watching his grandsons grow. He enjoyed hunting and fishing, and in recent years he discovered a love for metal detecting, during which he found many Civil War relics.

He dedicated 37 years to Verizon, working as a telephone lineman. His children described him as quiet, kind, humble and a great listener.

The family will receive friends from 11am, with services to start at 12pm on Saturday, July 25, 2026 at Woody Funeral Home - Atlee Chapel, 9271 Shady Grove Rd., Mechanicsville, VA 23116.
