Debbie Joan Vellekamp, 62, of Richmond, passed away on April 4, 2012, leaving behind family and friends who will dearly miss the ray of sunshine and laughter she brought into the lives of all who knew her.
Debbie is survived by her sister Judy V. Thomas and brother in law James A. Thomas, as well as several cousins. The many challenges she faced in her life, she did with strength and bravery. Debbie’s sweet spirit, wonderful sense of humor, kindness and her love of wildlife and animals carried her through her life. She touched all those who were privileged to have known her.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8pm, today, Friday, April 6, at the Atlee Chapel of Woody Funeral Home, Route 301 and Shady Grove Rd. Services will be held at 10am, on Saturday, April 7, at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, 8005 Atlee Rd. Burial will be at Quantico National Cemetery at a later date.
