Donald Allan Pleasants

Donald Allan Pleasants, 76, of Richmond, born on August 31, 1936, passed away May 9, 2013. He was preceded in death by his parents William Benjamin Pleasants, Jr., and Mary Post Pleasants, his brothers, William Benjamin Pleasants III, and Robert Warren Pleasants. He is survived by his wife, Frances Pullen Pleasants, his children, Laura Isley (Mike), Mandy Williams (Bryan), and Cathy Bohannon (A.J.), grandchildren, Matthew Sutorka, Tyler Hinnant, Benjamin Sutorka, Allison Bohannon, Amanda Bohannon, Ashton Bohannon, Breanne Williams, and Carter Bohannon. Donald served in the National Guard, retired from Visual Education at VCU, and was a lifelong member of Battery Park Christian Church. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8pm, on Sunday, May 12, at the Atlee Chapel of Woody Funeral Home, Route 301 and Shady Grove Rd, Mechanicsville. Graveside services will be held at 10am, on Monday, May 13, at Forest Lawn Cemetery, Richmond, Va. In lieu of flowers make memorial donations to Battery Park Christian Church.
