On January 20 2012, after a lengthy illness, Gaynelle Williams Lovern joined her beloved husband, Thomas Young Lovern, Jr., in heaven. Mrs. Lovern has lived in Salem, Virginia, for 9 years, so that she would be near one of her sons. She was born on September 28, 1919, in Richmond, and lived there most of her life. Her mother was Adelle Williams Witherspoon and her father was Horace Benjamin Williams. Mrs. Lovern served a number of churches in Virginia alongside her husband who was a pastor in the United Methodist Church. She was the beloved mother of four sons, Thomas Y. Lovern, III, of Ft. Meyers, Fla., David B. Lovern of Jacksonville, N.C., Daniel Lindsey Lovern of Salem, Va. and William Michael Lovern of Greybull Wy. Mrs. Lovern had many wonderful Grandchildren and Great Grandchildren. She leaves a brother, Simeon P. Taylor, III of Springfield, Virginia, and two sisters-in- law, Mrs. Mary Forberg of Richmond Va. and Mrs. Suzanne Peeler of Staunton, Va.
