Mrs. Georgia Ann LaPrad

Georgia Ann LaPrad, age 96, of Ashland, passed away on Tuesday, December 19, 2023. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Edward LaPrad. Georgia is survived by her daughters, Joyce Ann McPhillips (Michael) and Tina LaPrad Steenburgh (Daniel); two grandchildren, Elise LaPrad Steenburgh (Taylor Burton) and Stuart Wesley Steenburgh (Riley Kuff); and several nieces and nephews. She was a dearly loved mother and grandmother. She was a talented bookkeeper, known to have a green-thumb, and a very good cook. She will be remembered for her delicious meals and missed by those who loved her. The family will have visitation on Wednesday, December 27, 2023 from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and again from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Woody Funeral Home-Atlee Chapel, 9271 Shady Grove Road, Mechanicsville, VA 23116. A funeral service will be held at the Funeral Home on Thursday, December 28, 2023, at 10 a.m. with burial to follow at Signal Hill Memorial Park, 12360 Hanover Courthouse Rd, Hanover, VA 23069.
