I had the pleasure of working with Jerry for years at Verizon. You get to know a person’s character in this setting. Jerry was an honest and stand-up guy who cared about always doing the right thing. I could tell he loved his family and he cared about others.
He touched so many by his example - a gift seldom given and he did it well.

My heart hurts for Gladys, Ann, Jenny, and the rest of the family for your loss. I value my friendship with you all and greatly appreciate you including me in your lives throughout the years.
I remember Jerry being devoted to his family- helping the girls fly kites, teaching them golf, playing Monopoly, going to King’s Dominion, watching Star Wars, planning weddings, and walking his girls down the aisle. He is greatly missed!

Dear Gladys and family, we are so sorry for the loss of Jerry. We always enjoyed his company and great smiles. He seemed to be so patient and kind with those around him. Even during Adam and Jenny's wedding he seemed as though nothing upset him. We are thankful for the times we spent together.

Gladys, Ann and Jenny,
I can’t say enough about how sorry I am that you have lost your husband and father. Jerry was such a wonderful brother and I can relate to what others are saying about how nice and kind and considerate he was. He had a great sense of humor too. We just lost our beloved sister 3 months ago. Hopefully they can sit and chat for awhile.
Rest in peace my dear brother.
Love, Marge

Gladys,
Anne and I are very sorry for your loss.
Jerry was a very close friend and one of the nicest people anyone could ever meet. I feel blessed to have had him as a friend and in my life.
However, the memories - the softball games, skiing, golf and times at the obx - will always be there.
