

She was preceded in death by her son, Ronald Lynn Higgins and two grandchildren, Ronnie Eugene Higgins and Michael Scott Higgins.
Left to cherish her memory are her children, Robert Higgins, Randall Higgins, Rodney Higgins (Margaret), and David Higgins; grandchildren, Kathy Castle (Junior), Jennifer Higgins, Danny Higgins, Adam Higgins (Crystal), Bradley Higgins (Crystal), Dana Higgins, and Ryan Higgins (Megan); great-grandchildren, Taylor Castle, Everett Castle, Aiden Higgins, Alyssa Higgins, Alex Higgins, Kendal Higgins, Bradley D. Higgins Jr., Brayden Garmon, Elliana Garmon, Akana Higgins, and Bjorn Higgins; and sister, Rosa "Heavy" Burnett.
Gladys enjoyed planting flowers, fishing, and loved raising children. She was an animal lover who would stop on the side of the road to save an animal in need of help. She will be remembered for her delicious cooking, especially a large holiday meal. Gladys lived a full life, she came to richmond and worked in a factory as a talented seamstress. She liked to make long dresses for her granddaughters and afghan blankets for all of family members who will all miss her dearly.
A graveside service will be held at 11:00am on Wednesday, November 29, 2023 at Washington Memorial Park, 6217 Memorial Dr, Sandston, VA 23150.
