He had a zest for life and loved being with his family and friends. He enjoyed sailing & any activity on the water. He had a successful career in the printing industry retiring from Cadmus Communications, (formerly Cenveo, & William Byrd Press)
He leaves behind to cherish his memory his beloved wife of 39 years, Mary Kaye "Katie" Gay, daughters, Sharon Rowsey (Greg), Sheila Kullman (John); son, Scott Gay and grandchildren, Matt, Jessi, Sydney, Wyatt, and Ethan. Harvey was preceded in death by his father, Harvey, E. Gay Sr., his mother Annie Hobson and sister Barbara Wright.
A memorial service for Harvey will be held on Monday, January 15, 2024 at 11:30am at Woody Funeral Home, 9271 Shady Grove Rd., Mechanicsville, VA 23116. Interment will follow at Washington Memorial Park. Following the interment, the family will receive friends at the Brickshire Clubhouse, 11010 Kentland Trail, Providence Forge, VA 23140.
