Homer was a retired Lieutenant on the Richmond Police Bureau, former owner of Pickrel Insurance Agency and a life member of the Loyal Order of Moose.
He was preceded in death by his daughter; Cheryl P. Hinson. He is survived by his son Stephen D. Pickrel and daughter Jennifer A. Pickrel; grandchildren, Stephanie Pickrel, Daniel Atkinson, Cassidy Crone and Olie Crone, as well as former spouse and forever friend Barbara.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8pm, Thursday August 4, at the Atlee Chapel of Woody Funeral Home, Route 301 and Shady Grove Road. Funeral services will be held at 1pm, on Friday, August 5, at the funeral home. Interment Signal Hill Memorial Park. Contributions may be made to the Massie Cancer Center.
