James Philip Branham Sr.

James "Jim" Philip Branham Sr. passed on August 1, 2026, at the age of 95. Born on May 8, 1931, in Pond Gap, West Virginia, he spent much of his life in West Virginia and later resided in Mechanicsville, Virginia.

A steady and devoted worker, Jim dedicated more than 50 years to the steel industry. He graduated out of Byesville, Ohio, and carried forward the values of perseverance and responsibility that shaped his life and work.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Evelyn Branham; his son, James "Jimmy" Branham Jr.; his parents, Lane and Virginia Branham; and his siblings, Doug Branham, Earl Branham, and Emily McDonald.

Left to cherish his memory are his children, Patty Burch (Chuck), Mary Pollard (Bobby), Jennie Branham, Terry Branham (Mitzi), and Joyce Vuiller (Jay); 11 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren, and 3 great-great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his siblings, Linda Ritter and Harry Branham (Versie), as well as many nieces and nephews.

Faith and fellowship were important parts of his life. He served as a former deacon and leader in his church, New Manchester Christian Church in West Virginia, and he was a Mason.

In quieter moments, Jim found contentment in simple, lasting pleasures—fishing, walking every day, and spending time talking, telling stories, and tinkering with cars. His presence will be remembered with gratitude by those who knew him and were shaped by his steadfast care and the life he lived.
