James Linwood Wilson, Jr. of Old Church, Virginia, age 63, passed away peacefully at home on April 20, 2016 after a year-long battle with cancer. He was preceded in death by his father, James Linwood, Sr. He is survived his wife Karen Ward Wilson, his mother Bianca Wilson, his brother-in-law David Ward (Beth) and many nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews.
Jim attended George Wythe High School and Virginia Commonwealth University. He was a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps serving as Corporal and was a true patriot..
He had a strong love for all things outdoors, including hunting and fishing, boating being his passion. Jim was always the happiest on the water.
Visitation will be held at the Atlee Chapel, Woody Funeral home, 9271 Shady Grove Road, Mechanicsville, Virginia 23116 from 1:00 to 2:00 PM, Sunday, April 24. Service will follow.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be directed to the American Cancer Society.
