John worked with me at the Virginia Employment Commission. He was a great guy to work with. He and his wife dressed up at Christmas as Santa and Ms. Claus and brought joy to their co-workers. You could tell they had a special relationship. Condolences to his family.

Gloria grew up in my neighborhood and worked with me before she and John were married. They loved each other and supported each other after the death of their first son, John III. They suffered the terrible loss of Kenneth and turned their grief into making sure that Kenneth and the sailors of the USS Cole would never be forgotten. John went on to suffer the loss of Gloria and now they both can be reunited with their sons in Heaven. I never cross the 295 bridge in Mechanicsville that I don't think of John and Gloria. I am sending my thoughts and prayers to the family, God Bless You. God Bless American!
