
He is survived by his wife, Mary, daughter, Alexa, sisters Margaret and Anne, son-in-law Jon, grandchildren Tessa and Ethan, and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents, brother, Jim, sister, Mary and daughter, Elizabeth.
John spent his working life in bioengineering, creating both hardware and software for cardiac ultrasound machines. He was also incredibly talented when it came to electrical, plumbing, carpentry and auto mechanic projects. His daughters knew that Daddy could fix anything.
John also enjoyed teaching Sunday School, following his daughters through their grade school classes. After that, he taught adult Sunday School classes.
John loved the ocean, enjoying sailing above and diving below the water. He earned his Master Diver license while we lived in Santa Barbara, California. He also enjoyed acting and was part of several community theater groups, as well as church pageants.
John was well loved by his family and friends and will be dearly missed.
