Obituary of Liam John MacDougall
Liam John MacDougall passed away at St. Mary’s Hospital in Richmond, VA after medical complications on May 28, 2017 at the age of 13. He was born January 30, 2004 in Mechanicsville, VA. He attended Chickahominy Middle School and was in 7th grade. He was a member of the Richmond General Youth Hockey League and the Dynamo Soccer Club. He was an avid sports fan and a dedicated Toronto Maple Leafs fan. There are no words to express how much Liam will be missed by his family and friends here in Virginia and in Canada. His easy going and kind personality made him a friend to many. He had a smile that could light up a room and a great sense of humor. He was incredibly bright and passionate about all the things he loved. He was a caring and loving son and brother. Liam is survived by his parents, Suzanne and Ian MacDougall, and his sisters, Callen, Regan, and Ruari, all of Mechanicsville, VA. He also leaves to mourn his paternal grandmother, Jessie MacDougall of Long Point, Nova Scotia, and his maternal grandmother, Doreen Livingstone of Port Hawkesbury, Nova Scotia and his maternal grandfather, Leon Livingstone of Little Judique, Nova Scotia. He is also survived by his Aunt Brenda and Uncle Rob VanDam of Oxford, Nova Scotia; Aunt Mary and Uncle Roy Dell of Niagara Falls, Ontario; Aunt Judy and Uncle Tony Byrne of Oakville, Ontario; Uncle Bill MacDougall of Port Hood, Nova Scotia; Aunt Megan Livingstone and Uncle Jason Diamond of Stratford, Prince Edward Island; and Uncle Andrew and Aunt Emma Livingstone of Halifax, Nova Scotia. He is also survived by his beloved cousins: Bradley, Nolan, Jeremy, Eilidh and Caden, as well as his faithful dog Crosby. Liam was predeceased by his paternal grandfather William Daniel MacDougall. A Celebration of Life will be held at Woody Funeral Home at 9271 Shady Grove Road, Mechanicsvile, VA 23116, on Thursday, June 1 from 4:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. A funeral service will be held on Friday, June 2 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Ann’s Catholic Church, 105 S.
