

She was preceded in death by her first husband, Rufus "Ed" Edward Daniel; second husband, Clarence "Sonny" Bourne; son, Rufus "Eddie" Edward Daniel Jr.; two granddaughters, Jodie Lynn Jones and Jennifer Rebecca Daniel; and siblings, Mary Miles and James "Jimmy" Henry.
Born and raised in Virginia, Lucinda graduated from Thomas Jefferson High School before beginning a career as a shipping coordinator with Philip Morris. She was a longtime member of Shalom Baptist Church, where she found both community and faith. Lucinda was also active in the Friendship Quilt Guild, where she shared her love of quilting and crafting with many dear friends. Lucinda loved traveling, quilting, and creating crafts that brought joy to those around her.
She is survived by her three children, Betty Daniel Jones, Linda Daniel Williams, and James Glen Daniel (Millie); 10 grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren, and 11 great-great-grandchildren. She also leaves behind her sister, Betty Shuke along with many adored nieces, nephews, and friends who will carry her memory forward.
A memorial service for Lucinda will be held Monday, July 28, 2025 at 1:00 pm at Shalom Baptist Church, 8116 Walnut Grove Rd, Mechanicsville, VA 23111. A reception will follow in the Fellowship Hall at Shalom Baptist Church.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Shalom Baptist Church.
