Mary Salome Weis “Mema” Oliver, of Ashland, passed away on December 6, 2018. She was preceded in death by her husband, A. Leslie Oliver; her parents, John and Mary Weis; and her brothers, John D., Jr. and Wayne Weis. Mary is survived by her children, Johnny and Donna Oliver, and Matilda and Robert Morris; her brother, George Howard and Kerry Jo Weis; grandchildren, Johnny and Allison Davis, Brandon and Mary Davis, John and Christina Oliver, Staci Oliver, and Mary Jane Morris; six great-grandchildren, Ainsley, Landon, Griffin, Sutton, Ella, and Audrey; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Mary is remembered for her generous and loving heart that impacted the world around her. Her love and care for others was her way of showing the world what being God’s hands and feet really looked like. She loved her friends far and wide and her special “family of fast friends” at Richmond Dragway where she operated the concession facilities for nearly 40 years. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, December 12 from 1 to 3 p.m. in a heated tent at Richmond Dragway, 1955 Portugee Road, Sandston, Va. 23150 where a ceremony celebrating her life will take place at 3 p.m. on Wednesday afternoon. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to The Branch Church Ashland, P.O.
