
She was preceded in death by her parents, Claude and Ella Crutchfield; sisters, Sheila Boyce and Claudia Cochran; and brother, Bill Crutchfield.
Paula is survived by her loving husband, Ross Newlin; stepchildren, Boyd Newlin and Kimberly Capece; step-grandchild, Riely Capece; sister, Nancy Troxell; nephews, Shawn Troxell and Christopher Boyce; and nieces, Heather Pemberton, Tamara Bohlman, and Megan Thompson.
Paula dedicated her career to working as an office administrator for Citicorp, now known as Citigroup. She also generously volunteered her time at the Bon Secours Memorial Regional Medical Center gift shop.
Paula had a passion for working with stained-glass lamps and stained-glass stepping stones, macramé, cross-stitch, interior design, sports cars, motorcycles, and fashion. She was also an excellent cook and had a deep love for cats.
A devoted member of the Mechanicsville Christian Center, Paula enjoyed participating in the Monday night women's Bible study. She was actively involved in the greeting ministry and the coffee and donut ministry.
A memorial service will be held at Woody Funeral Home-Atlee, located at 9271 Shady Grove Road, Mechanicsville, VA 23116, on March 6, 2026, at 1:00 pm.
