WATSON, Raymond Edward Sr., 92, departed this life September 18, 2014. He is survived by his wife of 73 years, Georgie Hughes Watson: daughters, Judith Watson Tidd (Ron) and Linda Watson Woodcock (Mel) and son, Ray Watson, Jr.; five grandchildren, Mark Lemacks (Jodi), Ryan Woodcock, Michelle Woodcock Smith(Eric), Laura Watson Nelson(Steven), and Rachel Watson; three great grandchildren, Jacob, Nicholas and Joshua Lemacks and many other family members. Raymond served in WWII as a B-24 bomber pilot. He continued to serve in the Air force Reserve in the 459th Troop Carrier Wing, Andrews Air force Base, MD and retired as a Lieutenant Colonel in the U.S Air force. He also retired from Dupont after 40 years of service in supervision. In his life he enjoyed golf, hunting, and fishing but his lifelong passion was model railroading. He was an active member of the Virginia Train Collectors, Inc. Pursuant to his request, there will be no funeral service.
