SPARKS, Riley "Buck" Edmund Jr., 81, of Mechanicsville, departed this life February 14, 2019. Buck leaves to cherish his memory his loving wife of 61 years, Rena Sparks; two sons, Douglas Ray (Debbie) Sparks and Paul Randy (Mell) Sparks; his seven grandchildren, Lisa, Ray, Kayla, Brandon, Shawn, River and Tatum; eight great-grandchildren; sister, Rosie Pate; and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by his parents, Riley E. Sparks Sr. and Annie Sparks; and four sisters, Catherine, Amelia, Dee Dee and Nimi.

Services will be held Thursday, February 21, at 12 p.m. at Woody Funeral Home, Atlee Chapel, 9271 Shady Grove Road, Mechanicsville. Interment to follow in Signal Hill Memorial Park.
