Teresa Kay Salazar, a beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully on October 21, 2025, at the age of 70. Born on July 26, 1955, to Alfredo and Dorothy Salazar, Terri grew up in Vermont, where she developed a lifelong love for its peaceful beauty and close-knit community. No matter where life took her, Vermont always felt like home, and she cherished every opportunity to return.

Terri lived her life guided by a strong faith that sustained her through both joy and challenge. She was known for her warmth, kindness, and genuine care for others. Her laughter could fill a room, and her heart was always open to those in need. She was a devoted mother to Johanna Withrow and Becky Comstock, whom she cherished deeply, and shared many years of family and friendship with their father, Steve Bodde. One of her greatest joys was being a grandmother to Christopher Lawrence, Hannah, and Hudson Comstock, who brought endless smiles and laughter into her life. She also loved being an aunt to her many nieces and nephews—and a great-aunt to their children—all of whom held a special place in her heart.

Terri is survived by her daughters, Johanna Withrow and Becky (John) Comstock; her father and stepmother, Alfredo and Janet Salazar; and her loving siblings — Virginia (Kevin), Tony (Pam), Mark (Lori), and John (Michelle) Salazar. She was preceded in death by her mother, Dorothy Salazar, and her grandmother, Eva Kettle, whose love and guidance remained an important part of Terri’s life.

Terri’s life was a reflection of love, strength, and unwavering faith. Her warmth, generosity, and gentle spirit will live on in the hearts of her family and friends, who will forever cherish her memory.

A memorial will be held on Saturday, November 8, 2025, at 1:00 p.m. at Harmony Vineyard Church, 10487 Lakeridge Parkway, Suite 420, Ashland, VA 23005.
