VickyLynn Allen Melton

She is at peace with The LORD in Heaven. Born May 13, 1956 in Holland, MI, to Robert Allen and Betty Allen.

She is survived by four brothers, where she was the middle child,.Mike, Pat, Ron and Jeff. VickyLynn married Edgar Hugh Melton, Jr. after moving to Richmond.

VickyLynn had a gift for making friends wherever she went, cherishing one-on-one relationships and meaningful connections. Although naturally quiet, she had a lot to say to those close to her and valued the friendships she cultivated throughout her life. She was an excellent cook who loved spending time in the kitchen, creating meals that brought joy to others. In her free time, she enjoyed the calming pastime of adult coloring books.

Travel was one of Vicky’s greatest passions, with cruises being her favorite way to explore the world. From Alaska and Hawaii to the Caribbean and the Panama Canal, her adventures left her with treasured memories made with her husband, Hugh. Though she kept to herself, she will be remembered for her warmth, loyalty, and the kindness she extended to everyone she met.

The family will receive friends from 11 am to 12 pm on Monday, January 27, 2025 at Woody Funeral Home, 9271 Shady Grove Rd, Mechanicsville, VA 23116 where a funeral service will follow at 12 pm. Burial will take place at 2 pm at Greenwood Memorial Gardens, 12609 Patterson Ave, Richmond, VA 23238.
