Viviane L. Sacramo

Sacramo, Viviane Levy, 82, departed this life on September 18, 2014 after a 7 month battle with Bile Duct Cancer. She was born on April 25, 1932 in Casablanca, Morocco. She was preceded in death by her father, Salvador Levy; her mother, Diamande Katan; cousin,Marcelle Cattan. She is survived by her sister, Collette Ifergan (Amram) of Ashkelon, Israel; her brother, George Levy (Elise) of Ashkelon, Israel. Her children, Michael Frank Sacramo, of Atlanta, GA and Cathie Sacramo Thomas (Harold) of Mechanicsville, VA. Grandchildren Natalie Thomas Sipe (Casey), Michael Frank Sacramo, Jr. (Kacie), Morgan Elizabeth Thomas, Carson Fleming Thomas, Colton Nicholas Sacramo, and Courtney Michelle Sacramo. Her Cousin Mark Russell of Brussels, Belgium. Viviane was raised in North Africa during WWII. She shared many stories of her youth including how the American soldiers that defended Morocco would share their chocolate and chewing gum with the children, and how her family entertained the Admiral of the US Navy for dinner one evening when the conflict was over. She moved to the United States after marrying a US solider and gained her citizenship in 1966. She was a longtime resident of Atlanta, GA where she worked for 30+ years in the International Department at Bank of America, formerly C & S Bank, before retiring. She moved to Mechanicsville in 2011. She always made her family a top priority in her life; whether traveling abroad to stay close with her mother, brother, and sister, or spending time with her children and grandchildren, Viviane found joy in being close to those that she loved. She was an exceptional cook and an avid fan of numerous cooking shows. She was always ready to try a new recipe for family meals. Family and friends are invited to attend a grave side service at Signal Hill Memorial Park in Hanover, VA on Tuesday, September 23rd at 11:00 am.
