William Dexter Payne Jr.

A resident of Mechanicsville, Virginia, William was known for his compassionate, generous, hard-working, honest, loyal, and selfless nature.

He is survived by his partner in life, Kemberly Williams; children, Moriah Michie (Patrick), Sierra Payne (Tyler), and Isaac Payne (Natalee); bonus children, Justin Williams (Hanna) and Jason McGrady (Brandy); grandchildren, Nolan Payne, Brooklyn and Cael McGrady; mother, Murline Payne; and brother, David Payne. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

William, affectionately known for his quick wit and joking spirit, loved vacationing with Kem and spending time with family. His interests included collecting G.I. Joe figures and comic books, as well as reading.

His legacy of love and laughter will continue to inspire all who knew him.

A Celebration of Life will be held at Pebble Creek Clubhouse, located at 6069 Green Haven Drive, Mechanicsville, VA 23111, on November 7, 2025, from 3:00 pm to 8:00 pm.
