Barb was born on July 13, 1927 in Saint Helens, Oregon to Donald and Ruth Rucker.
Barb was married three times, and each of these unions blessed her with children: Ron Bateman (Judy), Kitty Dudley (Dave, deceased), Juli Findlay (Storme), Anji Wright, and Jodi Bullock (Lynn). She had 10 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren, and three great-great grandchildren. She had many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
She loved her family, each and every one.
Barb had a love for books. She read, and when she couldn’t read any more she was introduced to audiobooks. She also loved to write. She penned several short stories and poems, dreaming of being published one day. Her reading led her to her love of the Tahitian Islands. She visited twice and even entertained the idea of moving there. She was an amazing seamstress, sewing for family and friends and had a small shop named “Sew & Sew” in Phoenix, Oregon with her friend Hazel.
She met her husband Orlinza (Chief) Bullock in 1979, and they were married in 1981.
They lived just outside of town on her dream property. It had everything she dreamed: fruit trees, a large yard, and room for a horse. This is where she passed away, surrounded by her family.
Barbara is preceded in death by her mother, father, her husband Chief, and her daughter Kitty. She leaves behind her brother Pat Fitzgerald (Sandi), her sisters Margy Abbot (Rich) and Kathy Apodaca, her son Ron, and her daughters, Juli, Anji, and Jodi. She was cared for at home by her children, friend Sue Guider, and grandchildren Cricket Harrison and Christopher Dudley.
A memorial will be planned in the new year.
