We will never forget Darryll’s smile and the way it lit up a room,  he shined with his love for Leigh-Anne and his faith in Jesus was seen in every aspect of his life. We, Tom & I,  are richly blessed with having known Darryll and you Leigh-Anne, we look forward to that grand reunion one day—what a day that will be

Missing you on this day. You were a talented Respiratory Therapist for over 26 years. An amazing Father. Thanks for going to work and making my sports events- you were always there for me. You are loved and missed.

There are no words to describe the heartfelt sadness I feel over Darryll's passing.
 He talked about his family all the time. I dont think there was ever a man who loved his wife and children more than Darryll.
 Darryll and I worked together in a hospital. He was very competent at his job and was always ready to help. I used to love it when we worked the same shift, he always made the days fun, no matter how hard or busy we were. His sarcasm was awesome  and he had a sense of humor to match. He was so intelligent and could converse about any topic with ease and knowledge. Darryll  had a way of making people around him comfortable, and feel like a friend. I will never forget his warm smile, and will always carry the best memories of Darryll ,my friend, with me.
My heart goes out to Darryll's family, I am so sorry for their loss.

Our family sends our continued love to Leigh Anne, Caleb & Allison as they are saddened with the loss of their loving husband & dad. Every time our families connected at different events good fun conversations were shared. We knew this family was extra special & filled with deep love and contagious kindness! Our memories of  Darryll are vivid as we ponder over the fifteen or so years of knowing him. He was passionate about creating lovely gardens & a good life filled with fun memories for his family! His children carry on his sweet spirit of gentleness, smiles, and enjoying life. Darryll will be very missed as he was loved by many!

I met Darryll while we both worked for Sutter Novato Medical Center and we hit it off right away, as we Had a lot in Common . Our walk and love for Christ, family, gardening, outdoorsman, and we both were good at what we did for work. He was such a nice person and we enjoyed giving report, as we talked about everything and got ecaught up with what was going on in each other’s lives! He was a great friend. We seemed to always call each other out of the blue ! Must be Of been God working, as he called me about two weeks before he went to be with our Lord to get caught up again with each other’s life’s! He is missed dearly! True friends are hard to come by! Until we meet in Heaven my friend Gods speed! Love and miss you brother!

Darryll Salvadori we miss you so much ❤️

I met Darryll, or “Little Darryll” (as we’ve generally him called despite his height which towered over his father, “Big Darryll”) in the winter of 1970-1, he was about 5 years old.  His Uncle Lloyd and I were close High School friends and I began spending a lot of time at the old Salvadori home on Ward Street—a duplex with Pappa John, Della, Big Darryll, Lloyd, and Rick living on one side, and Leona, Little Daryll, Danny, and Yvette living on the other.  Although there was no extra space, I spent so many nights there I had pretty much moved in and became one of the boys.

Even as a youngster, Little Darryll was about the happiest and kindest kid I think I’ve ever met.  He seemed to have inherited the best of each parent: Leona’s easy-going nature and extreme kindness, and Darryll’s intellect, generosity, and laughter.  All of which seemed to grow in his heart even as he grew in stature.  

When Denny and Ginny moved back to Healdsburg from Orange County, California, they brought the gospel with them.  Soon there was a genuine mass conversion among the “Salvadori Klan”: Pappa John, Della, Victor, Ethel, Betty, Leona, Gloria, Darryll, Lloyd, Rick, myself; and it didn’t stop there.  Many of Victor’s “Mackey Klan” converted as well.  Soon we had populated the First Baptist Church where our beloved, Pastor Burner had been preaching for several decades.  Little Darryll began going to Sunday School and soon he too had placed his trust in the Lord Jesus. 

I was so pleased to see him grow into the fine man he became—a loving husband, father, and caregiver with a heart for his patients.  In the months preceding his passing, we had been communicating with hopes of him flying out to Alabama to spend some time together.  Sadly, that did not happen.  

Darryll is missed dearly by many, but especially by his precious family whom he loved and who loved him.  My God shed his mercy on each of you and strengthen your hearts.

My name is Matt Bogue. I married in to the Salvadori Family in 1997 when I married Darryll's cousin, Emberli.  From the first time I met Darryll I liked him. We ended up becoming pretty close over the years. I grew up in a small family with only one step sister and no cousins. So having cousins to hang around with was always something I wanted. Darryll treated me like blood and filled that role as the older cousin I always wanted. I always looked forward to seeing him and just hanging out talking - he was a good talker! 

When he moved up to Oregon we didn't see each other as much as I would have liked but we did talk on the phone pretty regularly. We would talk about theological stuff or stuff going on in the world. We'd be on the phone for hours sometimes! 

Caleb working for the airlines allowed Darryll to fly down to Sonoma County occasionally and I loved when he came to visit. It was always a fun time. It's hard to believe that I won't get to hang out with him again - until I join him in the physical presence of King Jesus someday, anyway!

Although I am a younger cousin than Darryll by 20 years, it never stopped us from developing one of the best friendships I have in life. He was much more like a big brother than a cousin. I count every day I was able to spend with him over my 35 years as a blessing. Endless adventures, sports, laughs, food and good times. I was fortunate enough to live near him for many years and even when he moved to Oregon, he still made the effort to come visit all his family for the all night marathons we enjoyed. My Dad Rick who passed away young was very close to his nephew “Little Darryll” and the loss was visibly painful for him. Darryll would get very emotional whenever we spoke about Rick, and he would remind me of the family friend Dez who said it best, Rick was the star of the Salvadori’s. The pain of losing Darryll hurts every day, but is blunted by the fact that he is now reunited with many of the family big names, Grandma Della, Grandpa John, Denny, Betty, Rick, Barbara, Grandma Bruner and more. Darryll is simply someone that doesn’t disappear into the background or go unnoticed, he can’t be replaced. He inspired everyone he meet in a positive way and raised his family with every fiber of love and concern in his body. I will always remember you my dear friend. Love, Tim

I was married to Darrylls aunt I lost touch after we separated, my loss,he was a great young man.others where not like him.he was special. What has happened  is so awful. May he rest in Pease. Learn from this sadness 😔 

“Little “ Darryll  went to vacation Bible school sometimes as a child. He liked the action songs, playing ball and the cookies of course! 
He was a good boy, helpful and kind to others and was precious and loved by many. He believed in and loved Jesus at a young age , And, to my knowledge, he continued to trust and honor Christ as an adult. It was such a surprise blessing to see him, and his wonderful family, occasionally in Healdsburg. Once at the 4th of July fireworks  at Trinity Baptist Church. Another time we ran into him at the plaza downtown. Darryll was always a respectful, caring person and I appreciated his good character. It was a privilege and blessing to have been a part of Darryll’s life.  I will see him again in the presence of our mighty loving Savior Jesus! Sincerely, Gloria Moore 

My older brother Darryll was just a great guy.  We did not get to spend as much time together as I would have liked, but that is how life sometimes goes. Though out my whole life Darryll never said one harsh word to me. I cannot say that about very many people. I was always very impressed by him. He was very intelligent, kind, funny, professional and most of all he loved the Lord.
I know Darryll loved his family with all his heart. I could easily tell when we spoke about things on the phone.  His passing has been very hard on the family because he was a pillar of strength that is now missing. We all miss him very much. I look forward to the day when I will be able to give him a big hug in Heaven. 
 

My husband Darryll loved deeply those who had his heart... A very smart, intense, inquisitive man, that loved good conversation, with people he enjoyed. He had such a yearning to travel, explore and see new things. His absolute favorite place, was at the coast, any beach-anywhere- at the ocean! He wanted to live there, in the coming years- that was our little dream. He loved his Lord and Savior with all his being, always striving to be closer to Him. I thank God at 19, I was at a skating rink the same time as him, for our chance meeting, that formed a lifetime of immense true love. Missing you forever, my beautiful, precious, Darryll ❤️❤️
