

Donald Dillard, 79, went to be with his Lord November 6, 2016. He was born August 22, 1937 to Louis and Ethel Dillard in Lindsay, Okla. Don’s family moved to Los Angeles California when he was 5. He attended elementary & junior high in Lawndale, CA. His family moved to Oregon when he was 16 and he attended Eagle Point High for 1 ½ years. They then moved to Butte Falls. Don graduated from Butte Falls High in 1955. Don started working in the woods logging immediately following graduation setting chokers for Medco Logging. He was a timber faller most of his working years. For many years he fell timber in SE Alaska, living in logging camps during the cutting season & back home in Oregon for winter shut down. Don and his wife Frances owned Mama Mia’s Pizza Store in White City 1994-1995. In Don’s last few working years he was a long-haul truck driver. He was also a team driver with his wife Frances. Don is survived by his wife of 12-and-a-half years, Inetha (Kness) Dillard; his brother, David (Cindy) Wolf of Prospect, Ore.; his sons, Bill (Sandy ) Dillard of Selma, Ore. and Paul Dillard of White City, Ore.; daughter, Donna (Dillard) Finkenbinder of Medford, Ore.; step-daughters, Virginya Stewart of Evanston, Wyo. and Katy (Tim) Hawkins of Evanston Wyo.; step-son, Tracy (Diane) Owen of Nampa, Idaho.; he had 17 grandchildren (one deceased); and 23 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife of 42 years, Francis Anna Stockford Dillard (1942 - 2002); his father, Louis Dillard; and his mother and step-father, Ethel and Edward Wolf. Memorial services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, November 20, 2016 at Church of the Nazarene 1481 S. Columbus Avenue, Medford, Ore. The family will be hosting an informal get-together at the church following the service. Finger foods and refreshments will be provided. Please bring your stories of Don.
