Edwin Eugene O'Brien

Edwin was born on October 3, 1927 in Oakland, California to Edwin and Martha O’Brien.

Edwin married Patricia D. Perkins on September 7, 1952 and the couple had four children together. They lived in Manteca, California for 58 years before moving to Medford, Oregon in 2015.

Edwin was a WWII era Navy veteran, and after the military worked as a civilian for the Navy, the Army, and in the private sector, as an aircraft metalsmith. Edwin could fix anything, having skills in carpentry, and mechanics. He never backed down from a challenge to build or repair something. He loved to bowl and golf, and was a member of the Valley Golfers of Manteca, CA for many years. He would never pass up a game of cribbage even in his final days. He loved to make people laugh and had a great sense of humor.

Edwin is survived by, daughter Connie Sickler, daughter Susan Schaapman, son David O’Brien, daughter Lori O’Brien and son-in-law Sean Blackburn. He was a loving grandfather to nine grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
