

A move to San Jose, CA followed through high school at Willow Glen. She had a short career at Bank of America. A marriage in 1959 to Richard “Dick” Flodstrom, resulted in a move to Los Angeles and Huntington Beach, where two children were raised; Erik and Mary Frances. Dick traveled to So. California for Avery Dennison. They then moved to Klamath Falls to buy Active Office Supply. After the business was sold, they set up Staples and worked there for 19 years. Fran was a teacher’s Aide at Henley Elementary for 20 years, retiring to move to Phoenix, Oregon. She spent the rest of her life volunteering; Asante Gift Shop for 18 years, Phoenix “Green Bag” program at Phoenix Food Pantry.
Fran is survived by her loving husband, son, Erik and his family of Rochester, Minnesota, son in law, Dr. Bob Hoo, of Costa Mesa, CA., and sister, Rose Marie Moore of San Jose, CA.
Fran was preceded in death by her daughter, Mary Frances Hoo.
Fran loved volunteering and would especially like to thank the Doctors and nurses on the 3rd Floor at Asante Hospital, and the gift shop volunteers.
Services are to be held later in the year at Ascension Lutheran Church, Medford, OR.
