It is with profound sadness and a heavy heart that our family must share that Huey departed this world for his next big adventure on December 5th, 2022.
He was born to Donald James Foxx and Christine Ann Foxx on January 31st, 1973 in Santa Rosa, California. He grew up in Fort Bragg, California and the Rogue Valley in Oregon. Later in life he had the good fortune to split his time between Baja, Mexico and the Pacific Northwest.
Huey is survived by his five amazing sons Alexander, Arik, Stephen, Wiley, and Anchor. He was a beloved father, a cherished brother, treasured son and a fun-loving grandfather. His lively spirit, warm sense of humor and originality will be greatly missed by his family and friends. He was rarely seen without a smile on his face and made quick friends with people from all walks of life. His huge heart and generous spirit touched the lives of countless people. He was known to help complete strangers and treated people who were struggling with compassion and kindness.
Always the trailblazer, at 16 he finished school to pursue his first of many careers and became the youngest commercial urchin diver in California. His love for the ocean lead to a passion for surfing, scuba and abalone diving and deep sea fishing. His biggest joys included riding dirt bikes with his sons, sport fishing, driving his Hellcat on the beach and snowboarding.
He was a serial entrepreneur who had a talent for building empires from humble beginnings. He achieved a level of success in his business ventures that would impress even the most jaded of CEOs. He was never afraid of a challenge and possessed an uncanny ability to breathe life into his ideas and projects. He lived a life that most only dream of and was proud of the fact that he had “Never filled out a job application in [his] whole life”.
Please join us on Monday, December 12th at 2:00 p.m. for a celebration of Huey’s life at The Tequila Event Center, located at 1016 N. Riverside Avenue, Medford, Oregon. Taco and cocktails for all.
