

Gina Conken, born November 12, 1972, at Asante Rogue Regional Medical Center in Medford, Oregon, passed away on February 16, 2026, surrounded by the love of her family.
A lifelong Oregon resident, Gina lived in White City and Medford before later making her home in Shady Cove. She was the beloved daughter of Chester Conken and Roberta Conken. She grew up alongside her elder siblings, Patty Conken and Timothy Gartin, and her younger sister, Brenda Conken, sharing bonds that remained strong throughout her life.
In her early twenties, Gina was diagnosed with a heart condition. It was an ongoing battle that she faced with remarkable strength and resilience for the rest of her life. Through every challenge, her family stood beside her, supporting her with unwavering love and care. Despite the difficulties she endured, Gina continued to put her family first and lived with courage and determination. Ultimately, this condition led to her passing.
Gina was a devoted and loving mother to her four children: her eldest daughter, Maria Centeno Conken; her son, Richard Conken; her daughter, Emily Rodriguez-Conken; and her youngest, Gianna Viera-Conken. Her children and grandchildren were her greatest pride and the center of her world. She was also blessed with many cherished grandchildren, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and nephews. To know Gina was to be family — and many who met her felt just that.
She was a wonderful mother, daughter, sister, and friend. Gina had a truly kind heart and would help anyone in need, often going out of her way to support others — even those who never asked. Her generosity, compassion, and unwavering love touched countless lives and left a lasting mark on everyone fortunate enough to know her.
Gina will be deeply missed and forever remembered for her strength, her warmth, and the love she gave so freely. Her legacy lives on through her children, grandchildren, and the many lives she helped shape with her kindness.
